Respondent Dianne Hoover filed suit against appellants Norwest Private Mortgage Banking, a division of Norwest Funding, Inc., Norwest Mortgage, Inc., and Connie McCullough (collectively, Norwest) in Hennepin County District Court asserting claims of negligent supervision and breach of contract as well as claims of discriminatory discharge, failure to make reasonable accommodations, and reprisal in violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA). See Minn. Stat. § 363.03, subds. 1(2)(b)-(c), 1(6), 7(1) (2000). The district court granted Norwests motion for summary judgment on all of Hoovers claims. The court of appeals reversed the district courts decision as to the discriminatory discharge claim, but affirmed the district courts disposition of the other claims. Hoover, 605 N.W.2d at 768. We granted Norwests petition for review of the court of appeals decision reinstating Hoovers discriminatory discharge claim. We also granted Hoovers cross-petition challenging the dismissal of her reasonable accommodation and reprisal claims. Because we conclude from the record that this case presents genuine issues of material fact for trial, we affirm the court of appeals as to the discriminatory discharge claim and reverse as to the reasonable accommodation and reprisal claims, and remand to the district court for further proceedings.
